Christmas Letter

The year has flown by so fast, and the kids have grown fast too. Just thought I would fill everyone in on what we've done this year. Well actually the biggest hi-light of the year was when we drove out to California in October. We decided to take the southern route there, old route 66 (now known as route 40, I think.) Somewhere along the road, Jason's brother Shawn, called and said, "Hey, I'll be in Las Vegas Sunday night, why don't you come and stay the night in my room with me for free." So we took a detour up towards Las Vegas, and what to our surprise that we run into but the Hoover Damm. So we spent the day there. Totally cool and very educational.

We did stop in Las Vegas, but didn't spend very much time there, we went to a couple of places the next day and then left. The kids really didn't like it there, which was okay with us.

Our next stop was Disneyland, California, where we met up with Grandma Nola, Uncle Shawn, Aunt Suzanne, Emma, Ellie, and Eva Jensen. We spent four fun filled days at Disneyland and California Adventures.

On the first day we all wore matching shirts. that Aunt Suzanne made, which made it so much easier to keep track of.

The kids and adults had a blast, although it was quite tiring.

On the way back we took a different route and traveled up through Utah, then went Route 70 home. But just as we passed over the border into Utah, Jason saw a Church history sign and decided to stop. It was actually pretty cool. It was a fort where Gordon B. Hinkley's family lived for a while.
